Champagne Françoise Bedel - Entre Ciel & Terre

The "maison" Francoise Bedel & Fils is based in Cruttes-sur-Marne, a small village of about 700 inhabitants in the department of Aisne, right on the eastern border of the Champagne area. The Domaine has been run by the Bedel family for three generations, Vincent Desaubeau, the last heir and current owner, took over the management of the company in 2003, taking over from his mother who had led it since 1979. The company philosophy is very simple and clear: to create wines that reflect the characteristics of the terroir from which the grapes that compose them come; Therefore, since 1998, among the first in the region, all production takes place following the methods and regulations of biodynamic viticulture, in the continuous search for harmony and balance for the vineyard and for the wine.

In the 8.40 hectares of vineyards, divided into various "parcels" on both banks of the Marne, Vincent Desaubeau cultivates the three classic Champagne grape varieties: Pinot Meunier (78%), Chardonnay (13%) and Pinot Noir (9%); these vineyards are cultivated without the use of herbicides or chemical fertilizers and the production has obtained the "Bio" Ecocert certification, which among other standards imposes the obligation to respect the Maria Thun calendar for all operations in the vineyard and in the cellar and prohibits the use of yeasts that are not absolutely indigenous.

All the Champagne produced have the RM mark, which certifies that the wine is produced by the owners of the vineyards themselves: Récoltant-Manipulant, the Champagne "Entre ciel et terre" is a brut, that is, with a dosage of less than 15 grams / liter of sugar, and is really of the highest quality, a wonderful assembly of Pinot Meunier (80%) and Pinot Noir (20%): A wine not to be missed.
