Islay Blended Malt Scotch Whisky "Big Peat" 0,7l - Douglas Laing's
Douglas Laing's Big Peat is a blend of Single Malts sourced exclusively from the legendary Isle of Islay containing small portions of the distillates of Ardberg, Caol Ila, Bowmore and, surprisingly, also Port Ellen. This is possible because Douglas Laing is in possession of one of the largest stocks of this mythical distillery that ceased operations back in 1983. An unusual detail that makes this product incredible is that no "vatted malt" label tends to indicate the selected malts. It is an unfiltered cold whiskey, not colored and obtained from what are called Small Batches, or small batches of barrels carefully selected to guarantee quality and rarity.

TASTING NOTES
With a golden color, it is Whiskey that stands out for freshness thanks to salty notes, extremely clean and elegant. Hints of vanilla and anise give way to a characteristic trace of wet earth. In the mouth it is explosive, peat prevails with hints of ash, sweet tar, sea water and an engaging smoking. The finish is of a poignant length, characterized by a return of the same vaguely salty aroma embellished with notes of spicy licorice. Unforgettable.
