Bright garnet ruby. The palate is smooth and expressive with sweet red cherries, blood orange, mint, wildflowers, cedar, sweet tobacco and anise. Very fine tannins on the palate, spicy, delicate and at the same time very rich and clear, long and balsamic on the finish. Each year, Cascina Nuova is a prime example of how excellent Barolos can be produced at moderate prices.
