Barolo Ravera-Cogno

Elvio Cogno's Barolo Ravera was born in vineyards located in the Ravera terroir, in the municipality of Novello. It is produced exclusively with Nebbiolo grapes, harvested by hand during the month of October. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature for 30 days. Subsequently the wine ages in barriques for 24 months, and for a further 6 months in the bottle. It is characterized by an intense garnet red colour. The nose opens with an elegant bouquet of dog rose, enriched by pleasant spicy notes of mint, coffee and licorice. On the palate it is full, round, with great structure and excellent balance.
