Il Saint Estèphe-Chateau Calon Segur
Saint-Estèphe Chateau Calon-Ségur has an intense garnet red color with purple hues. The aromatic range opens with perceptions of blackberry, cassis, rose petals and violet, soon joined by deep spicy suggestions and delicate hints of aromatic herbs such as mint and sage. Elegant and austere tasting, rich and deep, with integrated tannins that accompany the persistent finish. Chateau Calon-Ségur Saint-Estèphe derives from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (57%), Merlot (34%), Cabernet Franc (7%) and Petit Verdot (2%). The logs have an average age of 20 years and are planted on soil consisting of a superficial layer of gravel on a clay sub-layer.
